Han Xifeng was taken aback by Wang Jian's words, her eyes widening in disbelief. It was true that Lin Feng had not taken action against the Night Dagger Clan, and now Wang Jian's words made her question Lin Feng's priorities.

"But...Lin Feng would never do that. He would never put his ambitions over his sense of justice," she protested, her voice filled with uncertainty.

Wang Jian sneered, "You're too naive, Han Xifeng. He's a snake in sheep's clothing, using his so-called heroism to manipulate those around him. He's been playing everyone, including you, for fools. And he's been doing it all for one reason - to eliminate me."

Han Xifeng didn't know what to believe anymore. Could Lin Feng really be as deceitful as Wang Jian was suggesting?

"…Well, whatever. You will see it in due time," Wang Jian stated offhandedly.

Han Xifeng stared at him, unsure of what to say. A part of her wanted to believe that Wang Jian was just trying to sow seeds of doubt in her mind, but another part of her couldn't shake the feeling that there might be some truth to his words.

She decided to change the subject. "So, where are we going exactly?"

"Nowhere. I just wanted to have this interesting conversation with you," Wang Jian stated.

As the day wore on and the sun began to dip below the horizon, Wang Jian eventually parted ways with Han Xifeng after having spent nearly an hour in her company.

With lightning-quick movements, Wang Jian raced towards the Night Dagger Clan's encampment. He had a sword imbued with the power of lightning, which he intended to use to decimate every person in the camp.

Wang Jian was well aware of Fen Shuying's knowledge regarding Lin Feng's legendary sword, a weapon of immense lightning ability that only Lin Feng himself could wield.

If Wang Jian were to leave behind a trail of sword wounds and lightning burns on Fen Gen's lifeless body, then it was highly likely that Fen Shuying would unconsciously believe Lin Feng to be the one responsible for her father's untimely demise.

Such a scenario would perfectly align with Wang Jian's ultimate goal.

Wang Jian strode through the Night Dagger Clan's camp, his lightning attribute sword at the ready. The air crackled with electricity as he approached the first guard.

The man barely had time to raise his weapon before Wang Jian's blade slashed through him with a fierce hiss.

As he moved deeper into the camp, he slaughtered everyone in his path with deadly efficiency. They had no way of resisting as his cultivation at the Lord Realm made him superior to everyone in this camp.

Sparks flew as his sword sliced through flesh and bone, leaving a trail of blood and carnage in his wake. He showed no mercy, no hesitation as he carried out his gruesome task.

Finally, he reached the tent where Fen Gen was hiding. The Night Dagger Clan leader emerged, his face a mask of confusion and disbelief at the sight of Wang Jian.

He couldn't believe that Wang Jian had come to kill him.

"What have I done wrong?" Fen Gen pleaded, his voice choked with desperation.

Wang Jian's lips twisted into a cruel smile. "You've done nothing wrong," he hissed. "In fact, you've done everything exactly as I instructed."

"But unfortunately, your death is necessary for me to achieve my objective."

Fen Gen's eyes widened in horror as Wang Jian lifted his sword. The air crackled with electricity as the blade descended, and with a final, sickening crunch, Fen Gen's body fell lifeless to the ground.

Wang Jian looked down at the lifeless body, feeling a sense of satisfaction wash over him.

"…Alright. Time to create a huge ruckus."

In the meantime, back at the lair.

Lin Feng was meditating and cultivating his Qi when he sensed someone utilizing powerful lightning attribute techniques.

He looked around and noticed no one in the lair had sensed it. It was only natural as Lin Feng possessed the Nine Heavenly Lightning Sword and possessed hypersensitivity towards lightning attribute.

Without a moment's hesitation, he headed towards the source of the disturbance, his own Qi flaring to life in response. As he ran, he could feel the weight of his own power building within him, ready to unleash itself at a moment's notice.

Lin Feng arrived at the Night Dagger Clan's camp, his heart pounding as he surveyed the devastation. Bodies were strewn about, blood soaking the ground. The air was heavy with the scent of death.

He knew he needed to act fast. He moved through the camp, his eyes scanning for any survivors. But the scene was gruesome. Severed limbs and decapitated bodies lay scattered among the tents. It was a massacre.

As he searched, his heart heavy with distress, he wondered who could have done such a thing. He knew the answer wasn't going to be a pleasant one. He couldn't even begin to imagine the kind of hatred that could drive someone to commit such an atrocity.

Despite his efforts, he found no survivors, and the silence of the camp was deafening. He knew that he had to report this to the Miracle Angel Tribe, but he couldn't bring himself to leave just yet. He stayed a while longer, paying his respects to the fallen and vowing to bring justice to those responsible for this tragedy.

Back at the Miracle Angel Tribe's lair, the members of the tribe grew curious as to why Lin Feng had left so suddenly. They hadn't sensed the ruckus caused by Wang Jian's Qi due to their low affinity to the lightning attribute.

As Han Xifeng replayed her dealings with Wang Jian in her mind, a wave of disgust and guilt washed over her, knowing that it must have been him who had caused Lin Feng to rush out in such haste. Her stomach churned with regret as she felt she had made a grave mistake.

But just as quickly as the feeling came, it dissipated, replaced by a sense of pleasure as she realized that Fen Gen, the leader of the Night Dagger Clan, was now dead. She knew she shouldn't feel such glee, but the realization that her hated nemesis was no more made it impossible to resist.

'No…I can't be too happy. I need to wait until Brother Feng returns and confirms his death. What if something unexpected happened and Fen Gen survived? That would be a disaster.'
