When it came to the stuff from the past, Patrick couldn’t help but sigh

I’m at my wits end about this whole thing! You’ve seen the state our son’s in right now,

“What if what if I go and have a chat with the secretary tomorrow?”

“No need” Patrick said, “if he’s really trying to pull a fast one on us with a sham marriage,

“That was before I knew she had a kid! If our son wasn’t in this state right now, we

talk! Patrick said, “We’re getting on in years! We should let the younger generation handle

The next morning, Clara woke up early.

Since Emmett was staying here, she couldn’t very well not make breakfast for him

bought breakfast.

When she got back, Emmett was already awake, standing in his pajamas in the living

room.

“Where did you go?”

“To get you breakfast!” Clara held up her bag. I didn’t know what you like, so I just

grabbed something”

“I already asked Ricardo to bring some”

All Clara could do was smile and put the breakfast in the kitchen, “Well, then you can wait

for Ricardo’s delivery!”

She looked at Emmett, standing there in the living room, and he seemed to have a sort of

master–of–the–house vibe.

Clara quickly shook her head, trying to dispel these strange thoughts from her mind.

Emmett could never be the master of this house!

“In the future, you don’t need to go out and buy breakfast, I’ll have Ricardo do it.”

Clara nodded, then suddenly realized something was off and looked at Emmett in surprise,

“Future?”

“To not arouse my parents‘ suspicion, I may need to stay here until you move to my place.

If you’re not comfortable, then move to my place sooner.”

He wasn’t keen on staying in such a small house either.

“Wasn’t Emmett just forcing her into this!?

“Is there a problem?”

“Mr Melendez, I think………

“Emmett!”

“Emmett!” Clara quickly corrected herself, “Um, Emmett… I think since we have a

marriage of convenience, our marriage is fake! It’s not normal for us to be together all the

time!”
