got out of the car, he said, “Here’s the check. I’ll have my secretary handle the paperwork with you.”

my run-down house? You could definitely score a decent place downtown with the dough you’re forking over.”

“I’m Taylor Atwood, Clara’s fiancé.”

Hearing that, Elio sat up straight and asked, “Fiancé? How come I’ve never heard that Clara had a fiancé?”

“That’s because we had a misunderstanding. Now tell me where Clara is. I need to find her.”

Elio frowned, “Are you joking? Don’t you know have the hots for Clara? Why would I tell you where she is?”

Taylor, on the other end of the phone, sneered, “You have the nerve to say you like Clara? Isn’t it your fault she’s in

together. And you? I see nothing more than friendship between you two!”

Elio was so angry that he clenched the steering wheel as if he were going to crush it. But the next moment, he

suddenly laughed, “I think the real naive one is you! You should find out about Clara’s recent health condition and

see if she’s pregnant or not. And then confirm whether the kid is mine!”
