“Why are you like this, though? Do you want to look for that woman from before Patrick

Melendez asked. “I feel like you didn’t really have a problem with her back then, right?”

On a weekend morning Clara Calloway woke up early to tackle the house chores, including

the laundry. She was relieved that Alex had enough clothes; otherwise, he would have had

nothing to wear. With work waiting for her when she returned home and the added task of

organizing Emmett’s work, Clara simply couldn’t afford to spend time on housework
