Clara was stunned for a moment.

She hadn’t expected Emmett to think about that.

“Actually… you really don’t need to worry about me that much. Not many people know I’m your wife

right now.”

“Do your friends know?”

“They do.”

The next morning, Clara sent Ricardo’s requirements to Leah as soon as she got to the office.

Soon, Leah called back.

“Did Emmett agree?”

Sometimes when she thought about Elio, she felt like he was the one person she had wronged the

most in her life.

Previously, she had been fully focused on her child and hadn’t considered Elio’s feelings for her,

thinking he was just a good friend. By the time she realized, Emmett had already entered the picture.
