Emmett sat back down and waved his hand, “Alright, you can go now. I need some time to cool off,

“No, no!” Clara quickly gestured him to stop. “This is supposed to be my job! You’ve already helped me

a lot. If I’m here at work, I should be the one doing it! Besides, I know you’re busier than I am.”

Ricardo scratched his head with an awkward grin, “Well, you’re Mr. Melendez’s wife. Everyone can tell

that Mr. Melendez really cares about you, and since I owe him one, it’s only right that I help you out.

But if you insist on doing it yourself, then go ahead. I’ll go do my own stuff.”

Clara watched Ricardo turn to leave, then suddenly asked, “Do you think…Emmett loves me?”

Ricardo was taken aback, blurting out, “Of course! In all the years I’ve been with Mr. Melendez, I’ve

never seen him care so much about someone. To be honest, I almost never saw Mr. Melendez smile

before. But now, with you, even his attitude towards us has improved a lot!”
