Yulia’s heart was racing, but she could not bring herself to ask him. Although she had never dated

anyone before, she still understood how to read the room.

She found it inappropriate to probe about his life in such a delightful environment.

Suddenly, some cheerful music began to play while they were still eating. After that, the manager

wheeled a nine-layered tall cake out for them.

The lights were dimmed as Skylar lit the candles while smiling at Yulia and said, “Make a wish, Yulia.”

When Yulia opened her eyes, Skylar blew out the candles with Lola in his arms.

However, when Skylar was just about to give Skylar her gift, a maniacal sound could be heard coming

from outside.

“I finally found you, Yulia!”

Nicholas’ hair looked a little messy as he entered with a smile.

This rendered Skylar a little speechless.

He could not believe that Nicholas was able to find them when he had already planned their dinner on an

island.

Damn, he sure is really clingy though.

Nicholas ignored Skylar as he approached Yulia and said, “Yulia, I’m here to wish you a happy birthday

and I’ve prepared this gift for you. Hurry up and open it. I’m sure you’ll like it!”

Nicholas took out a jewelry box after that.

However, Yulia did not accept it. Apparently, Nicholas was not offended by this as he opened the box

himself.

However, Skylar was stunned when she noticed the necklace. That was none other than the Star of

Cullinan.

Nicholas was not surprised by how shocked Yulia was as he even gave Skylar a cocky glance.

It seemed that he already knew everything that happened at Kareem Fashion earlier. He even knew that

Dianne was the woman behind the helicopters and billboards.

He really is quite talented in attracting women.

However, since Nicholas was hellbent on winning Yulia over, he had decided to ignore everyone else.

Since he knew that Yulia loved the Star of Cullinan, he decided to give her just that.

“Is that the Star of Cullinan?” Yulia asked.

Nicholas acted calm as he replied, “That is correct. It’s none other than the Star of Cullinan that you

wanted. Look, Yulia, this necklace costs more than eight-hundred million dollars. I believe this is enough

to prove my devotion to you. I’ve used my entire company as collateral in order to buy it. But, don’t worry

about it, Yulia. I believe that it won’t take long for me to get my company back. I have no ulterior motives

in telling you all of this. I just want you to know that I’d be willing to do anything for you.”

It seemed that Nicholas was touched by everything he told Yulia. People who did not know the truth

might actually think that he was the mysterious buyer that bought the Star of Cullinan.

If none of what happened really happened back then, Yulia might actually be charmed by his words.

Even if she was not attracted to Nicholas back then, it would be impossible for her to not be touched

when a man was willing to use his company as collateral just to make her happy.

Unfortunately for him, the world did not work like that. However, before Yulia could say anything, Skylar

laughed and tapped the desk with his fingers before playfully asking Nicholas, “The Star of Cullinan?”
