Erin waited for another two classes, but Lulu still did not show up. After classes were over and she headed to the castle, she found Lulu and Irene having tea in the garden just as she expected. The weather was good, and it was just right for them to stay beneath the tree shade. She smiled and made her way over. "Hey, Irene." Irene quickly beckoned when she was here. "Come, sit." Lulu was surprised that Irene and Erin knew each other, especially since she was not familiar with the latter.

Irene introduced her. "She's Isaac's sister." Lulu smiled. "What a coincidence." Erin smiled politely in return. "Yes, though I realized yesterday." While Lulu appeared surprised, Erin explained, "James was the one who arranged for your lodging." Irene added, "James is her husband.” As Lulu realized with a start, Irene had a servant bring Erin a glass of juice.

"We're having tea, but you should have juice,” she told Erin—tea was not good for pregnancy.

Erin was only too happy to accept the gesture. "Thank you." "Aunt Erin." Tommy arrived just then, and hugged Erin's waist. "Are you going to stay for dinner?" "Do you wantto stay?" Erin asked, and he nodded repeatedly. "Chere, I want to show you something." Tommy tugged at her hand just then.

"Alright. Let's go!" Erin smiled, allowing the boy to pull her along. "Slow down," Irene snapped, frowning. "It's fine." Erin smiled.

"You spoil him too much," Irene told her disapprovingly.

Erin simply shrugged.

Tommy took her to the fish pond, where there were several imported species of fish swimming around.

Tommy liked them, and Erin found them interesting too and fed them. "Things are peaceful here," Lulu said as she watched them.

"Yeah," Irene replied-Erin was genuinely kind. "She might not be related to Isaac but blood, but she considers him a brother nonetheless." "I'm surprised he accepted her," Lulu commented. "He always looks so cold." "That he is," Irene said. "Doesn't mean he's heartless." "Getting defensive already?" Lulu grinned. "I haven't started badmouthing him yet!" The day passed quickly, with Isaac coming hearlier and Lulu staying for dinner.

James knew that Erin was at the castle, so he cwith Isaac.

Stan cby today as well, since he was not that busy lately.

Lulu returned to Zidonia ten days later, and Stan traveled with her since he had things to do as well. It was good, since she would have someone attending to her. Zachary was on hand to receive Stan, and he was surprised to find Stan with someone else.

Stan lied that Lulu was a cousin who had been working as a nanny abroad and returned to the country since she saved up smoney now.

Zachary glanced at her once. "You have a cousin?"

"There's plenty aboutyou don't know, alright?" Stan retorted. "Car's outside. Let's go," Zachary said, not pressing the issue and heading outside right away, leaving Stan and Lulu trading glances. Still, Lulu did not get into the car when they arrived outside. "Don't letkeep you-I'll get a cab." "Sure," Stan told her-they did not want to arouse Zachary's suspicion. "See you around."

After they left, Zachary stared outside the window and mentioned seemingly offhandedly is your m cousin not going to work anymore?" "I think she will," Stan replied. "She'll be working locally though. She won't be going abroad." Zachary chuckled. "My daughter just happens to need a nanny. Since she's your relative and you're vouching for her, she'd be the right person for the job." X
