Chapter 278
Next, she was scooped up and plonked on the console table in the hall.
“Mr. Raymond!”
Her voice came out shaky from the shock of being at eye level with him because of the table,
lan was tall, standing at a towering six foot two.
Maja leaned back against the wall, terrified, as he held her chin in his grip.
From the first night on, she noticed that he was a different beast in bed, not at all like the cold guy everyone saw him as.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t be utterly exhausted and even land in the hospital.
With her chin held in his grip, she froze and her eyes welled up.
lan looked at her beautiful face as his other hand rested on her waist.
He leaned down and kissed her, not giving her the chance to reject him and parted her lips.
Maja was scared stiff and her body was rigid.
By the time she came to her senses, she began to struggle and tried to get down.
But lan’s kiss left her breathless and her legs weak.
Her eyes filled with tears, and she stopped moving for a moment, feeling like she was being pulled into this predicament by many
hands.
His kisses trailed down to her neck.
lan bent slightly, finally reaching the full part he had seen that night.

Maja snapped back to reality and pushed him away.
This time, she used all her strength. Even lan didn’t have time to dodge and stumbled back a few steps.

Maja hastily jumped off the table and bolted out the door.
But she was too panicked and stumbled as soon as she stepped outside.
The files in her hands scattered like snowflakes and fluttered down to the floor.
lan had wanted to help her, but she fell too quickly for him to react.
Now, Maja sat amid a pile of files. Ignoring the pain in her leg, she hurriedly began to gather the files.
lan squatted down; seeing her refuse to look up, he deliberately pressed on the closest file.
She had been picking up files all along but did not pull on this one.
lan didn’t move either but saw a few droplets fall onto the paper.
Was she crying?
The droplets spread on the white paper.
lan reached out, lifting her chin, and saw that she was indeed crying.
Her clothes were disheveled, and the buttons that had been undone hadn’t been done up yet.
His kiss was fierce and had left marks from her neck down, which were clearly visible in her slightly open collar.
“Did my kiss make you cry?”
His voice was soft and his gaze fell on her face.
Maja’s pupils contracted slightly, somewhat disbelieving that such words came from lan.
Everyone said he was high and mighty and never had a girlfriend by his side.
Maja didn’t have the confidence to think she could conquer him.

Moreover, she didn’t like him.
Rather than saying his kiss made her cry, she was scared to tears and scared by her own moment of panic.

lan’s eyes curved slightly upwards, completely uninterested.
“Sorry, I mistook you for someone else.”
He stood up by the door and placed his hand on the door, “I thought Carlene was here.”
Maja was taken aback and sighed in relief; maybe lan didn’t expect her to return.
Was it because he had a date with Carlene tonight?
lan pointed towards the elevator; his long fingers seemed to still hold her warmth.
“Weren’t you going to celebrate your husband’s promotion? Why are you still here?”
Maja understood immediately; he was probably worried about Carlene misunderstanding.
She let out a sigh of relief and quickly wiped away her tears.
“Mr. Raymond, I’ll be going then.”
lan frowned slightly and immediately shut the door.
Maja entered the elevator. Her legs almost gave out and she quickly held onto the railing.
Any other woman might not have been able to resist lan.
lan’s face was too attractive and irresistible.
She glanced at the mirror and noticed her buttons were undone and her collar was slightly open, which revealed some red
marks. She quickly raised her hand to do up the buttons.
However, the elevator stopped on the first floor and someone came in.
It was Tyler.
Maja’s hand stiffened. She almost subconsciously turned around, but the elevator was full of mirrors, and even if she turned
around, the mirror still clearly showed the marks on her face and neck.
This was clearly a guilty conscience.

Tyler glanced at her, raising an eyebrow slightly, his tone full of amusement.
“Penny?”
