Elgin just barged right past her with quite the shove. Letitia stumbled back a couple of steps and ended up falling down.
The door slammed shut with a bang, and Elgin was gone.
His way of loving her, was straight-up diabolical! Letitia’s heart kept sinking, her palm clutching tight
It was late Elgin walked in the night, an air of brooding menace about him.
Yep. Letitia had hit the nail on the head again
He didn’t know how to love, and he had never truly loved anyone
He thought he loved Shela, but now he realized that he had no feelings for Shela whatsoever
His feelings for Letitia, though, they snuck up on him, growing bit by bit over time
Elgin had tried to ease up, to smooth things over with her, but no dice.
He was trying to learn, trying to back off, but Letitia wasn’t having any of it
So... hed kick things off his way A devil’s romance!
Elgin adjusted his tie and a cruel, bloodthirsty smirk played on his lips.
When he was ready to really start things with Letitia, he’d stop at nothing to make her depend on him and him alone!
The next day, the sun crept up slowly.

Letitia was still reeling from last night’s terror, couldn’t catch a wink of sleep after Elgin left

The Elgin today, was like when they first met. Back to his icy, aloof, business mogul vibe! She knew this distance all too well!
Letitia had no choice but to sit her butt down.
Breakfast was a feast, with vaned food, but her appetite was in her boots, eating like she was walking on eggshells

Elgin glanced over. Thats all you’re eating?”

Letitia wanted to say no, but one look at his eyes and she silently picked up her fork again
It’s better not to challenge him, she’s not going to come out on top of that battle
“Don’t work late these days. Elgin added, “Focus on your health
Despite the concern lacing his words, they sent a chill running down Letitia’s spine.
“I, I’m recovenng okay,’ she replied, “I can work normally”
Elgin just gave a slight smirk, his expression an enigma.
The food in Letitia’s mouth got harder to swallow.
Something felt off. like something was about to go down.
Just then, the butler hurried over. “Mr. Ramirez, I don’t know what happened, Ms. Ward is here, kneeling and crying at the gate,
insisting on seeing you.”

“Useless, can’t even keep a wornan in check, and she ends up at Ivory Towers? Elgin’s face darkened.
The butler hung his head, replying, “TII deal with the bodyguard who screwed up.”

Letitia’s grip on her fork tightened

As the car left Ivory Towers, Letitia caught a glimpse of Shela
She was pinned to the ground by two bodyguards, her mouth sealed with duct tape, her eyes desperate, watching the direction

Looks like she never left, trying every trick in the book to see Elgin.
And Elgin? He’s buried in paperwork, oblivious to the drama outside. He sat there, detached and majestic.

Suddenly, the driver floored it, and Letitia lurched forward uncontrollably.
A hand reached out, cushioning her forehead to prevent a collision with the seatback

But then again, he and Shela were dreaming of riding Elgin’s coattails to the top. Now that their plan’s blown, they’d do anything

Elgin snorted. A whole night’s brainstorming, and this was their plan.

But Letitia got out of the car.

would’ve banded it all to you on a silver platter. Too bad your greed got the better of you and you blew it all.”

Shela still couldn’t figure out how on earth Letitia found out about her fake pregnancy.

“My fault? Honey, I haven’t even started on how you’ve screwed me over,” Letitia shot back. “You’ve made your bed, now lie in

Shola glared at her with venom. “You just wait!”
