Caleb's Point of View | was slightly nervous about the women going off to the spa for the day. Normally | do not worry about our people being in the human town, but it is not often that there are so many high-ranking women together. The possibilities for being attacked were enormous. | knew that Daphne and the other girls had put a lot of thought and preparation into today, so | kept my mouth shut.

Daphne thinks that she only has a few soldiers with her, but | sent a few other warriors into the town earlier in the morning. | figured there was no harm in having a plan B.

“You ready to do this?” | was startled from my thoughts by Theo coming to check on me.

“Yep, | have the new treaties ready to be signed. Gather everyone up and let's meet in the den area.” | inform him. The den is bigger than my office, but still has everything that we could need. It did not take long to get everyone gathered and seated at the large table in the room.

“I have all of the new treaty and alliance paperwork ready. If you will all take a look at them and ensure that the information is correct, we can get them signed, and hopefully this will go quickly.” | quickly took the reins. As Alphas we are used to having these meetings. Usually everything is routine. | handed the papers out quickly and sat back as everyone reviewed the information.

“Excuse my ignorance for a moment, | just want to make sure that | am reading this document clearly.” | was surprised to hear from Hawk, but glad that he was asking questions. It was a sign that he is going to be a good leader. “According to this my pack has an alliance with you Alpha Caleb, Alpha Noah, and Alpha Jerome's packs. Do we not have an alliance with Alpha Cole, or Alpha Axle?” He asked the whole table.

“Although we do not have an alliance on paper if you ever needed me, | would stand for you and your pack.” Alpha Cole answered him.

“May | ask why we do not have it on paper?” Hawk questioned him.

“When the former Alpha led my pack, he did not want alliances. He thought that he was stronger if he stood alone. Since | have been Alpha, | have formed salliances. Although our territories are not considered close in proximity, | would not mind putting a formal alliance in place with your pack if that is your desire. | do have a few rules in place though for my formal alliances.” Cole was quick to explain that does not make alliances with power hungry packs, nor packs that have slaves. | watched him and Hawk negotiate an alliance pleased with the young soon to be Alpha’s wit, and ability to negotiate. It did not take long for the two to shake hands pleased with their agreement. Alpha Jerinformed his son that he would have the official paperwork drawn up.

Since that matter was now settled, | addressed the room. “I have an announcement to make. As you all know there is currently unclaimed territory between where my borders currently rest, and the town of Meacham. With surge of additional pack members that have joined us space is getting slightly cramped.” | paused and handed out the maps | had prepared for this meeting. “If you take a look, you will see that the black lines outline my current borders. The red dotted line is where | would like to extend my borders to. Behind the map you will see the detailed explanation of how | will be utilizing that land. You will also see that | am not infringing upon any other pack territories, and that there still remains a great deal of unclaimed territory for wolves that wish to travel freely.” This part of the meeting was crucial to me.

With Scarlett’s former pack joining with my already growing numbers, we needed more housing, a larger children’s center, and | wanted to expand our pack hospital. | was also hoping to gain a few more acres for cattle as well.

“This is absolutely preposterous. There is no way that | can agree with this Alpha Caleb.” Noah was quick to object to my proposal.

“May | ask what exactly you do not agree with Alpha Noah?” If he was going to speak against the expansion, | wanted to know why he had an issue with it.

“You are insane if you thought that | would feel comfortable with you moving closer to my territory. We are already cramped, and we share close borders with the Mission pack already. If anyone should be expanding it is my pack.” He was getting flustered and red in the face.

“Have you brought a proposal to the table detailing why your pack needs additional space?” This tit was Alpha Marcus that was questioning him.

“No, | was not made aware that we were going to be discussing expansions at this meeting.” Noah sputtered out.

“Alpha Caleb do you really have that many new pack members that you need to expand?” This tit was Alpha Axle asking me.

“Yes, as you can see from the explanation of the other page that | included there are various projects that are going to require the additional space. Our housing is cramped, and | will need a larger pack hospital at the very least. Again, if you all look at the map you will see that | am not even close to infringing upon anyone's territory. Additionally, Alpha Noah if you would like to expand you are more than welcto cto us with a proposal, and you still have unclaimed territory heading towards the Pilot Rock area.” | wanted to ensure that everyone at the table understands that | am not asking for the land simply as a territory grab. It is essential to my growing pack that we have a little bit of room to breathe.

“| see nothing wrong with the plan. The Blue Mountain pack has always been a huge help during harsh winters because they have always had an abundance for canned crops that they harvest from their fields. Now | am well aware that farming crops on a mountain can be difficult, yet this pack regularly supplies not only my pack but others around this table with food as well. | vote yes on the expansion.” | was shocked that it was Alpha Axle that stood up for my proposal. In truth | had judged him to be immature and childish, but his words showedthat while performing duties as an Alpha he could be serious.

“| second the motion and believe we should now take the matter to the table for a vote.” Alpha Marcus was strong in his words. | watched as each Alpha voted yes until it ctfor Noah to vote.

“No. | believe that you are not being truthful, and you will use the land to train more warriors to take over territories by force.” His words sparked an anger withinthat | had issues controlling.

“If I wanted to take territories by force than | could have had the Silver Moon pack lands when their former Alpha attacked us. | am the one that put you in charge of leading that pack, a decision that | am beginning to sorely regret. | do not need any other lands to train my warriors, they are already stronger than anything your measly pack could bring my way.” | knew that | was not being diplomatic, and it is not often that | allow my anger to get the best of me, but Noah was pushing all the wrong buttons.

“Hmmm a pack that has both a Luna and an Alpha that seem unable to control their tempers, and yet you wantto say yes to you moving closer to my pack.” He said with sarcasm heavily laced in his words.

“The thing about it is your vote does not matter right now Noah. Caleb has already gotten a yes fromand the others. That makes it a total of four yes, to your one no.” Alpha Marcus pointed out.

“How about we take a quick break and go and grab a few sandwiches. | can smell that the catering company has been hard at work, and | know that | am famished.” | would really need to thank Theo for interruptingand causing a distraction.

Unbeknownst to the other men at the table | was currently sinking my claws into the underside of the table imagining that it was Noah's neck instead. Theo must have seen this and decided to get everyone moving out of the room.

| took a few moments to calm my breathing and retract my claws. | thanked Theo for his quick wit. | have no idea how my mate managed to deal with that idiot for eighteen years. She is stronger than | would ever be.
