James held the pendant up and looked at it carefully as though he was trying to check its authenticity.

He said monotonously, "She accepted your request." "She hoped that you would too." Xanthakos fixed him with an expectant gaze. "It's for the sake of all living beings, after all. There are a few unresolved conflicts between US. However, we should put those issues aside for now in the face of a greater crisis." James' eyes narrowed. "I can help you. However, I want the position of the SuprPath in return. Besides that, my wife will be acknowledged as the SuprPath's partner." Xanthakos froze.

"What's wrong?" James raised his brows. "Am I asking for too much?" "Were... Weren't you uninterested in the position of the SuprPath?" Xanthakos tried to control his expression.

"If I had the position of the SuprPath, I would be able to help you even more in stopping the Waitara Path's Soremsia's return." Xanthakos' heart dropped. He did not expect to get this request from James.

It was something more difficult for Xanthakos to swallow than James turning him down right away.

Xanthakos had just one goal. It was to seize the Wuia Palace and obtain the Path Designation Bead.

With the bead, he would be able to reign over all realms for as long as he wanted. He could exercise the authority of the SuprPath even without needing the title.

If Xanthakos agreed to let James hold the SuprPath's position, it would defeat the purpose of everything he was doing.
