"You're crazy! Even if you can rescue Nicky, you'll be arrested!" Austin said. "Or do you plan not to return to Hyderland ever
again?"
"Why not?" Mike was not hesitant at all. "It doesn't matter where I go as long as I can keep my son safe."
"I'll go with you then," Lily suddenly said.
Everyone was shocked, including Mike.
"You?" Mike caught himself and shook his head. "No, I don't need you. As I said, what I do has nothing to do with you guys. Just
pretend you didn't hear what I said."

He knew many people would get into trouble if he failed, but he was eager to save his son. The only way he would not implicate
the others was by asking them to feign ignorance.
"Don't be silly!" Lily approached Mike and patted his shoulder, saying, "How can you shoulder this alone? You all helped Alex
rescue me and my children, didn't you? Besides, even if you have firearms and know the embassy's layout, do you know where
Nicky is?
"Do you know there are secret passages? Do you know how many guards there are and how much firepower they have?"
Mike was stumped and did not have an answer. "I..."
He once thought about sending someone to snoop around, but it was too difficult. If it was that easy, he could have rescued Lily
and Nick long ago.
The security at the embassy was tight in the first place. With the VIPs around and the secret experiment going on, many more
guards had been active.
On the other hand, Mike only purchased firearms based on his estimation. He was unsure if he had enough firepower for what
he was about to do.
Lily continued, "So you mustn't do it alone. Besides, do you think any of us would be free from the consequences of your
actions?"

Her words affected Mike, and he knew she was right—he would implicate everyone. A simple investigation would reveal how
close Mike was with the others, not to mention Cameron knew what was going on.
Even though Alexander was on good terms with Cameron, the latter would never be biased to anyone.
Therefore, since they were all in the same boat, Mike should not even think about doing it alone.
Austin nodded repeatedly, agreeing with the others, "Lily's right. We've always treated you as a friend.Do you think we worry
about being implicated? We're better than that okay?"
Alexander said gently, "I'm sorry I couldn't help much in this matter, but... I hope I can help you rescue Nicky.”.
