Chapter 55 I’m Gonna Scream

Losing something usually meant it could be replaced, but this time, it was different. Without a registered

permanent residence, Eileen had no means of recovering her lost wallet, and she didn’t want to return

to the dealer.

Eileen had never been patient with Hannah, often choosing to turn a blind eye to her actions to avoid

conflict. If she had followed her usual temperament, she might have reacted impulsively, possibly even

covering the trash can over his head.

“Hannah, my mother’s photo is in that wallet, and it’s important to me, along with some essential

documents… If you need money, I can give it to you. The rest isn’t valuable to you. Just give it back,

please!” Eileen pleaded.

Hannah kicked open the trash can by his feet, and its contents spilled out. He retorted angrily, “Eileen,

what are you talking about? I didn’t take your wallet! Why are you accusing me? If you don’t believe

me, call the police!”

Eileen’s voice echoed throughout the store, attracting attention from others

present.

Feeling agitated, Eileen ran her hands through her hair in frustration and said, “Hannah, I’ve never

meddled in your affairs before, right? If you want that hand cream, I can give it to you. Just return the

wallet, and I’ll pretend nothing happened.”

“Eileen, I swear I didn’t take your wallet! Why are you so intent on framing me?!” Hannah protested.

Mr. Samuel heard the commotion and hurriedly approached, asking, “What’s going on?”

“Miss, aren’t you supposed to work the evening shift? Why are you here so early today?” Mr.

Samuel asked.

Eileen replied honestly, “Mr. Samuel, I lost my wallet. There’s a very important photo and my ID inside.

I was planning to come here to resign and go back to my grandma’s place, but without my ID, I can’t

even buy a ticket.”

Concerned, Mr. Samuel asked, “Why do you want to leave? What happened?”

Eileen did not want to discuss the events from last night as thinking about them only made her

uncomfortable. So, she avoided the topic and kept it to herself.

Liten did not want to escalate the situation further She vaguely expressed, “I just want to go home Mr

Samue! Can you please help call the police to find my wallet?”

Mr. Namurlummediately asked “What does

importantly, my ID card

Mr. Samuel’s expression turned melancholic as he said, “Losing a wallet is tough to recover. Your

wallet must have been expensive, and if someone found it, they probably won’t return it. Tell me how

much money you need, and I’ll give it to you.”

Eileen bit her lip and replied, “Mr. Samuel, could you buy me a bus ticket to Lumiose? I want to leave

today.”

Surprised by her sudden decision, Mr. Samuel hesitated, “In such a rush? Miss… it might not be

possible to arrange it for today. Let’s see if it can be arranged for tomorrow afternoon. I’ll buy it for you

then.”

“That’s the only option I have.” Eileen nodded. “Okay, please, Mr. Samuel. You can deduct the money

for the bus ticket from my salary this month.”

“Don’t worry about this small amount of money. Eileen, are you really going to leave? Have you told

Sharon?”

“I’ll tell Sharon when she returns tonight.”

Mr. Samuel understood, saying, “Alright, then. Just wait a moment, and I’ll settle your salary for the

past few days first.”

When Eileen finally received her salary, it amounted to one or two thousand dollars, which was a

substantial sum for her.

Comparing it to what Will gave her, two thousand dollars was the price for a dress.

She now realized that earning money was actually quite challenging.

Eileen held the money in an envelope, and it felt relatively thick.

After Mr. Samuel settled the matters, he went to deliver the goods, leaving only Eileen and Hannah in

the store.

Eileen mustered the courage to address Hannah, “Hannah, I can say this with certainty. I know your

personality, your actions, and who you really are. You know it better than I do. I just hope that you can

look at yourself honestly, I know I have no evidence… Maybe 1 misjudged you. If I did, I’m sorry. But if

you did take my wallet and are hiding something from me, then you’ll have to live with your thieving

ways for the rest of your life”

Hannah responded with a sarcastic laugh, Eileen, why are you pretending? You’re just slightly better

looking than me. Do you actual, believe you’re some rich young lady? Your wallet te worth three

thousand dollars? Why not say ‘s worth thirty thousand dollars? If you

it’s were truly a wealthy young lady, would you be here doing part time jobs and washing

dishes?”

“I’ve seen people who can pretend, but I’ve never seen anyone as good at pretending as you!”

Hannah’s appearance was far from pleasing, with his thin and unkempt appearance, dry and split hair,

and a sour and sinister face, which made the situation even more awkward.

When Eileen first came to the store, she treated Hannah kindly, allowing her to use her skincare

products. However, Hannah became greedy and started taking them without permission. When Eileen

gently reminded her to ask for permission before using her belongings again, Hannah became angry

and started spreading rumors about her. She falsely accused Eileen of being unhygienic and flirtatious

with men, trying to tarnish her reputation.

But Eileen did not let Hannah’s words affect her; she felt more pity for her. As the saying goes,

appearances reflect the heart, and hateful people must have pitiful experiences, just as poor people

may have hateful circumstances.

“I hope you maintain this tone when you’re talking to me. I also hope you can have a clear conscience,”

Eileen replied calmly..

After the confrontation, Eileen left and began packing her belongings. As she went upstairs, she

unexpectedly encountered Thomas blocking the stairs. He sneered, “Miss, you’re back? What were

you doing outside? Tell me.”

“No, please move aside!” Eileen requested, trying to pass by him.

Eileen was determined not to engage with Thomas and was trying to leave when he continued to block

her path.

“Don’t be so aggressive! I didn’t have a chance to apologize to you for what happened last night.

Today, I’m having a meal at home, and I want us to eat together so I can apologize properly,” Thomas

said, attempting to persuade her.

Ignoring him, Eileen turned around and started to go downstairs to avoid the confrontation. However,

Thomas unexpectedly grabbed her arm tightly, “Where do you think you’re going? Come to my place,

it’s only me…” Despite her struggles, his towering and burly figure made it easy for him to overpower

her.

“Let go of me! Eileen demanded, trying to free herself from his grip.

Thomas paid no heed to her protests and continued dragging her towards his house, which

was close to the stairs.

Thomas, what are you doing? Il scream!” a vorer boomed from upstairs
