At that moment, everyone was looking at the Path of Fate with great interest. They were looking forward to what

was about to happen.

"How long do you think that guy will be able to stand up to Lionel? I think he should be able to last until the fourth

exchange!"

"I don't think he'll even last for a single exchange. That guy and Lourain clearly have some problems with their

heads. There's no way someone like that would do something we can understand."

"You shouldn't underestimate him too much. Don't forget, he seemed quite clear with his logic just now and doesn't

seem like someone with any mental problems. He seems like someone who knows what he's doing."

As everyone else had their discussions, Jack started to close in on Lionel.

They were already at a dangerously close distance from each other. The moment someone attacked, there was no

chance of avoiding anything.

Lionel gave Jack a cold look. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he measured Jack with a vicious look as if he was

trying to see something from Jack's expression. Yet, no matter how long he tried, all he could see was Jack's calm

and nonchalant expression.

Lionel raised an eyebrow and asked, "Brat, I'm very curious. Do you think you can beat me?"

Hearing this, Jack laughed as he replied calmly, "Just shut up. I hate listening to nonsense."

The moment that was said, quite a few people started to look at Jack differently. So, Jack really was confident in

himself.

The way he was speaking, and his expression did not seem faked at all. It did not seem like he was forcibly trying to

put on an act!

Blant frowned as he measured Jack. The person behind Blant was a fellow disciple of his, Adler.

Adler coughed before saying in a soft voice, "Blant! Is this Lionel guy reliable or not? I feel like that guy has

something up his sleeve and isn't as weak as they claimed. If Lionel.."

Adler did not have to finish for Blant to understand what Adler was saying.

Blant raised an eyebrow, then said, "Even if Lionel is no match for him, Lionel cannot let him off easy. Lionel has to

teach that guy a harsh lesson and deny him the chance to get anything good out of it. Otherwise, everyone else will

just see us as a joke."

Adler nodded vigorously. Blant took a deep breath, and his expression darkened as well. "We've never seen Lionel in

action, so we can't tell how strong he actually is. However, I heard that Lionel is at least in the middle of above

average warriors. He's not that weak."

Adler had a look of disdain in his eyes. "He's nothing special, what good will he be? We should make our own

preparations. If Lionel loses, we need to have a response."

At that moment, Lionel did not know what Blant was talking about with Adler at all. His mind was fully focused on

Jack.

On the other hand, Lionel was already thoroughly angered by Jack.

He clenched his teeth as he looked at Jack, "Brat! Do you not treasure your life? Since you want to die so badly, I'll

grant you your wish!"

Right after he said that he pushed forward, and three chains of lightning lined up together as they shot at Jack.

Seeing this, Jack's lips curled up as he raised his sword and slashed down on the chains.

Crackling sounds could be heard, and the lightning chains started to let out countless sparks. The gray sword had a

wave of gray mist around it. The two energies clashed together violently, and the clash caused Jack's gray sword to

be knocked aside, while Lionel's lightning chains were destroyed as well.

That exchange had been completely even, and no one was at an advantage!

Lionel clenched his teeth as his anger grew even stronger!

He never expected this guy to be that strong. Lionel had thought that he could at least push the man back in one

blow if not outright defeat him. However, they ended up being evenly matched.
