Cynthia noticed that Ellora clearly understood the situation, so she did not bother with it any further. Later, she

prepared a room for Ellora and took her to buy some clothes.

Old Man Neal, Felix, and Daphne appeared satisfied. It was evident that they were pleased with Joshua’s actions.

Henry, unaware of Old Man Neal’s fondness for Cynthia, kept badmouthing her. “Dad, look at what Joshual has

become now. He disrespects his elders for a woman who only knows how to climb the social ladder. Clearly, Felix

and Daphne failed to educate him properly.”

Felix casually glanced at Joshua and calmly remarked, “Indeed, we haven’t taught our children to behave as Henry

does.”

Everyone remained quiet.

They all knew that Henry’s son, George Neal, was a complete failure!

He was useless in business and poor in academics. All he knew was to enjoy himself, never doing anything

productive.

For a moment, there was a strange atmosphere in the hall.

Joshua held Cynthia’s hand and sat down next to Old Man Neal, looking at Henry as he said, “If you could make

George stay out of trouble, Cynthia and I wouldn’t have arrived so late.”

“What happened?” Old Man Neal played along.

“George got into a fight that landed him at the police station. He claimed that the CEO of the Neal Group was his

brother. If it weren’t for dealing with his mess, we wouldn’t have been late,” Joshua said.

Old Man Neal coughed lightly.

This kid was lying so nonchalantly. Did he really think Old Man Neal was unaware that he had parked his car outside

Old Neal Manor and waited for Cynthia for over an hour? Henry’s face turned red, and Lilian could not hide her

embarrassment either.

Moses, being mischievous, commented, “Getting into fights and causing trouble at the police station… Uncle Henry,

Auntie Lilian, you’ve done a great job raising your son.”

“Moses, that’s quite impolite to say, isn’t it?” a girl of about eighteen years old interrupted. She was Duane’s

daughter, Kimberly Neal.

“Have you and Joshua ever got involved in fights? What about Cynthia?”

“No, we actually haven’t,” Moses replied earnestly.

The matters between the children were left to themselves, without the interference of the elders. Ever since Old

Man Neal handed over control of the Neal Group to Joshua, Henry and Duane both showed their disagreements.
