Chapter 101

Everyone looked at Moses with skepticism.

Then, a handsome young man in racing gear asked, “Isn’t Joshua supposed to be wealthy? Why didn’t he give

anything to Cynthia during the divorce settlement?”

“He didn’t give her anything. You all know how stingy he is. Think back to the things he did when he worked with

you,‘ Moses replied without hesitation.

“He really is stingy.”

“Cynthia is really unlucky.”

For a moment, everyone looked at Cynthia with a complex and pitiful expression. Other women who married into

wealthy families could at least get something when they were forced to divorce, but Cynthia got nothing.

Cynthia remained silent.

“Alright, for Moses‘ sake, I’ll give you two projects to work on. Just transfer your investment funds to me and wait

for your share of the profits every year,” the handsome young man said decisively.

“No thanks,” Cynthia declined.

The handsome man was puzzled.

“She’s just too embarrassed to use any relationship she has with Joshua,” Moses chimed in casually.

“This project has nothing to do with Joshua. It’s just between us. You can trust us completely,” the young man

explained.

Cynthia did not say anything. Instead, she just looked at Moses, asking him what he was actually doing.

“Wait a little longer,” Moses whispered to her. He had come back to watch the show.

“After we finish talking, I’ll take you back.”

Cynthia felt like this was a trap. Whether she wanted to leave or not, she had to stay and chat with them. Moreover,

she could not even hail a cab since they were in the middle of nowhere.

After about twenty minutes, a car suddenly drove over. Its headlights were so bright that it was hard for anyone to

open

eyes.

Then, a man with long legs and an extraordinary temperament got out of the car. He wore a long coat and walked

over to them

with big strides.

“Moses, Joshua is here.”

“Why do I feel like Joshua is not in a good mood?”

“He looks very angry.”

Moses smiled, crossing his legs.

He had tricked this group of people, but he managed to say in his casual tone, “When he comes over later,

remember to praise Cynthia. He likes it when people praise her.”

“Aren’t they getting a divorce?”

“Do you want people to talk about how you married a useless woman after

your

divorce?”

Everyone immediately understood Moses’s intention with that simple sentence.

They thought they were the only ones who cared about their reputation, but they did not expect Joshua to care

too!.

They would praise her!

They had to praise her.

They would praise her with all their heart!

When Joshua arrived, he saw Cynthia standing on the other side talking on the phone while Moses was chatting with

a group of unmanly–looking men.

Joshua instantly concluded that Cynthia would not fall for any of the faces here.

They greeted him, “Hello, Mr. Neal.”

“You’re quite fast.” Moses was still as relaxed.

Joshua’s cold eyes swept over the group, devoid of any warmth, and then looked at Cynthia, who was still on the

phone.

The group noticed his gaze and exchanged a glance. Then, they quickly started to praise Cynthia.

“Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal is so beautiful. Why haven’t you introduced her to us before?”

“Yeah, that’s right.”
