Chapter 30

Vicky did not answer Cece’s question, and Cece decided against asking any further questions.

After staying for a while, Vicky asked Cece to head home and rest.

In the evening, Vicky stared outside the window as the sun set and made a phone call.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

After a while, the call was answered and a cold, husky voice appeared on the other end of the phone.

“What?”

“I want to eat the ravioli from Legend Pasta House. Can you buy some for me later on your way here?”

He stayed quiet for a few moments, seemingly taken by surprise by her request.

“You’re asking me to…bring you ravioli?”

“Is something wrong?”

“Are you certain that you want me to bring you food?”

“You’re my husband, so is it so weird to ask that you bring me food?”

“…” He fell back into silence.

Before he could respond, she continued, “I’ll rely on you for dinner from now on. Remember to get here

sooner. Alright, I’ll let you get back to work.”

With that, she hung up without hesitation, and that was her first time ever to hang up on Tyler.

At seven in the evening, Tyler arrived with a bag that was labeled ‘Legend Pasta House‘.

The smell of food made Vicky feel hungrier than ever.

He studied the way she drooled and asked, “You like this restaurant?”

“Yeah. I love it.” She took out the food from the plastic bag. “After the car accident, Cece took me to this

restaurant for the ravioli. She said that I loved that place before losing my memories, and after having a

taste, it’s as tasty as I expected it to be.”

He did not respond to her comment.

After finishing the ravioli, Vicky sighed in satisfaction and came to a sudden realization that Tyler was still

inside the room.

He had always been a quiet person and would rarely take the initiative to talk to her.

She glanced at him and asked, “I forgot to ask, but have you

She looked down at the empty takeout box in front of her sheepishly and picked up her phone. “I’ll call

Nanny Paterson to bring some food over.”

“It’s fine-”

Before Tyler could finish his sentence, Vicky went ahead to make the call.
