"Now I know a lot of you already have learnt some swordsmanship before you entered academy and whilst I will be here to guide and assist you in swordsmanship the main job I will be taking you will be teaching you the swordsmanship created by the academy, Sanctuary Swordsmanship"

As the man spoke, he quickly brandished his sword, causing a wild wind to rush past the faces of everyone present.

Instantly everyone started paying attention with excited gleams in their eyes. Even Lucius was no different.

Compared with the boring history and code of conduct from earlier today, this was what could bring someone some real excitement.

Swordsmanship and magic were the true essence of a magical fantasy world.

After bringing out his sword, Mr. Stevens began his lesson.

"Sanctuary Swordsmanship is the cornerstone of our Sanctuary academy and the culmination of many geniuses and sages over the years. If I had to describe the Sanctuary Swordsmanship style in one word it would be this:

Stability.

When the swordsmanship style was created, the world was in chaos. Battles raged and the lives of fighters were harvested like the spring wheat .

This was a waste of the sword made to ensure the survival and defence of its wielder.."

As Mr. Stevens spoke, he took a stance, his feet shoulder width apart as he gripped the sword with both hands and slightly bent knees.

If one looked at him you could find that it was as if you were looking at a giant Boulder. No, a mountain!

It was a mountain that didn't seem to shake no matter what happened!

"But don't think the sword style is just defensive ." Said Mr. Stevens

With his words, the aura around him and his stance quickly changed.

The gated, defensive posture of the Sanctuary Sword style suddenly opened up as his sword shot out like a storm!

"Boom!"

The air screamed as a line of mana tore through the training ground causing the air to swirl as the uniforms of everyone present fluttered.

"Sanctuary Sword style could never be a solely defensive swords style. After all, no matter how great your defence is, defence will never kill your enemies."

The murderous intent in his voice wasn't concealed in the slightest brushing against the skin of everyone present causing goosebumps.

"Practitioners of Sanctuary Swordsmanship embody the essence of both serenity and unwavering composure but at the same time they must be fearless and dauntless incorporating calculated counter attacks as well as swift and precise attacks that can tear through an opponents defence.

In addition to this, due to the extremely stable and yet fluid nature of the Sanctuary Sword style it is the perfect foundational sword style to base your swordsmanship around. Sanctuary swordsmanship can flow into and be layers behind a multitude of other sword styles,

As Mr. Stevens spoke his feet shifted like flowing water as his stance easily transformed.

The aura around his sword changed into that of a ferocious beast and as he swung down his sword one could also swear they heard a terrifying wolf cry."

Gulp.

The group of students collectively stepped back in front of such an overwhelming aura and Mr. Stevens just smiled mischievously.

"Well, I've explained the basics, when it comes to swordsmanship, theory alone is never enough. It's always better to see with your eyes."

It was then that Mr. Stevens' eyes quickly scanned the crowd of students before stopping.

"Student Landon."

"Yes Mr. Stevens."

"You were the one who broke all the previous records of the academy."

"That is correct Mr Stevens, I am indeed the one."

"Haha! Great! If that's the case then I hope you wouldn't mind joining me in a quick spar to demonstrate the swordsmanship to the rest of the class."

"Of course," replied Landon

"I would love to."

As he said this Landon stepped forward the Battle intent practically bursting in his eyes.

Faced with such overwhelming battle intent, even the calm he at t of Mr Stevens stirred slightly.

Landon walked up to Mr Stevens confidently as he placed his hand on his sword and called out

"Mr Stevens I'm about to start."

"Whenever you're ready." Replied Mr. Stevens confidently.

"Then I'll begin."

There was the sound of his sword scraping against his sheath as Landon's sword was drawn in an instant.

Landon's body flickered forward as his sword wrapped in mana crashed down towards Mr Landon!

Seeing this sight Mr Landon just smiled as he moved his sword.

His sword could only be described like flowing water as it gently touched Landon's sword causing it to suddenly tilt to the ground at his side

"Boom!"

Feeling his attack miss, Landon's heart was shocked.

Just now, when the two swords met, he felt like he had just hit nothing. There was some resistance, but it was minuscule as if what he had slashed was not a living person but a pool of water.

Yet even with the minimal force his sword was cleanly deflected.

The shock in Landon's heart only lasted for a while before it was replaced with a bright smile!

This is it!

This is the fight he's been waiting for!

Landon didn't hold back anymore his sword crashed down like a storm as only the faint afterimage of each attack could be seen

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Each attack came down with devastating force but Mr. Stevens didn't just deflect anymore.

His stance changed as he lowered his body slightly.

Each attack was soundly blocked by the defence of the Sanctuary sword style.

Mr. Stevens' sword had changed from a flowing river to an unshakable boulder.

With both hands on the sword, Mr. Stevens' sword moved at ease in any angle, blocking Landon's every attack and even sending him back slightly with the terrifying shock of the rebound force.

Mr. Stevens blocked Landon's every attack with ease, but he couldn't help but be slightly impressed.

Even faced with no path in, Landon hadn't stopped attacking and he was constantly changing and showing variation in his sword moves as he tried to find any gap to break in.
