Chapter 53 How Do You Know I’m Here?

All of a sudden, he felt a dull pain on his forehead. Something hit him, and his head buzzed. He looked

at the woman under him. Her pale face was filled with determination, and her jade-like fingers were

holding the European-style lamp at the head of the bed.

Warm liquid flowed down from his forehead. Jerry reached out and touched it. It was sticky and red.

Evelyn saw that the blood flew out, half of the man’s face was stained with blood, and even his eyes

were covered by the blood. She was so scared that she threw away the lamp in her hand, pushed him

away, and stood by the bed. Before she could come to her senses, Jerry covered his wound and

walked toward her in a gloomy look.

Evelyn opened the door and ran out with a spare key. She quickly locked the master bedroom door,

took out her mobile phone, and dialed 911. After giving the address, she ran to the study, pulled out the

USB drive, and rushed straight out of the villa…

The wind in the early morning was a little cold. When it blew on her tear-stained face, it was like a

She staggered to her feet and was about to leave when an SUV suddenly stopped beside her. With the

sound of “squeak”, the tires rubbed against the ground, and then a dazzling white light shone on her.

She subconsciously raised her hand to cover her eyes. Before she could see the person clearly, her

arm was grabbed by a huge force. She was dragged into the car. Since she was far away from the

dazzling light of the headlight, finally, she saw the person clearly. It was a face full of anger and

extremely familiar.

“How did you know I’m here?” She asked in a low and trembling voice.

Huston frowned and his gaze locked onto her messy clothes. Just as he was about to speak, he

suddenly caught sight of a small puddle of blood on her lower abdomen. His gaze turned cold as he

asked, “Are you injured?”

She followed his gaze and looked down. Tears welled up in her eyes again. She raised her hand to

cover her face and couldn’t help crying. “It’s not me. It’s Jerry…”

Huston’s heart sank. “What did you do to him?”

“I hit him. He’s in the hospital now. I don’t know if he’ll die…” She was almost incoherent. “The

ambulance took him away. I’ve been sitting here all the time and saw it with my own eyes…”
