Chapter 202

lan’s face went dark right away. His first instinct was to slam the door shut.

But Tricia was quick, sticking out her hand and pleading.

“Mr. Raymond, I bumped into the manager downstairs. Are you hurt? I mean no harm. I just want to

check on you.”

She already had the inside scoop on which floor lan was staying.

There were two presidential suites on this floor, and she was staying next door tonight.

She could almost taste the sweetness in the air, just thinking about sharing the same building and

perhaps even the same pillows with him.

Tricia got an earful from Maja in the morning, but she quickly caught on to what she meant.

Maja would never forgive this man if he was disrespectful to the Pennyfeather family

But she was different, she didn’t care how lan treated the Penny feather family.

She was just into lan.

Tricia coughed a couple of times

“Mr. Raymond, someone needs to help you apply that ointment. I’m worried you won’t be able to reach

the wound.”

lan just stared at her. Her purposely low–cut dress, her subtle makeup, and her barely there coat,

which under the hallway light was basically see–through. Tricia kept her hand on the door to stop him

from closing it.

The way she looked at lan, it was pretty much blatant.

If both parties were willing, things could be really simple.

But lan just smirked. He seemed to think she bought the ointment and just tossed it out.

“Get lost.”

His words were merciless, like a sharp knife piercing straight into Tricia’s heart.

Tricia’s face went pale instantly. She hurriedly withdrew her hand.

A few seconds later and her fingers would’ve been crushed by the door.

This was the first time lan had rejected her so harshly.

She felt humiliated. She spent two hours on her makeup tonight, looking all cute and pure. She even

hung around downstairs just to make sure some guys hit on her before she confidently put on a slightly

see–through dress.

But she didn’t expect lan to react this way.

Tricia felt extremely embarrassed. Being treated like this by the man she liked felt like a slap in the

face.

She picked up the paper bag off the floor without saying a word.

The bag from the manager was clearly meant for lan, the ointment still inside.

She glanced at the label, and saw Maja’s name.

Her face changed instantly. Apparently, Maja wasn’t just blowing hot air when she said she’d send the

ointment over tonight.

Tricia felt a pang of jealousy before returning to her room.

She had been into lan for years. She was determined to have him.

She shot Maja a text.

“Maja, I just got hurt and Mr. Raymond sent over some ointment. Seems like Mr. Raymond really cares

about you, that’s why he’s taking care of me.” She deliberately snapped a photo of the ointment and

sent it over.

Maja received the photo while taking out the trash.

She didn’t even know how to respond to such a message.

She never noticed before that Tricia was so obsessed with a guy. She was just like Carlene Shepard.

But at least Carlene was the one lan liked. Jan was willing to indulge her.

But didn’t Tricia feel embarrassed about her behavior?

Maja used to be polite to her. But ever since she discovered Tricia’s feelings for lan, all she felt was

disgust.

Regardless of whether she and lan had feelings for each other, they were technically married. So, in

name, lan was Tricia’s brother–in–law.

How shameless of her to go after her own brother–in–law and even show it off in front of her sister.

Mają was fuming.

She immediately forwarded the message to Neil with a comment.

“Tricia is all grown up and interested in men now. But did she pick the wrong target?”
