Chapter 910 Mrs. Ritter stayed at the police station until late at night before returning to her hotel. Not only did she have to pay a considerable amount of compensation, but she also received a reprimand from the authorities at Larro.

The Ritter family had lived in Urgford and had no influence over Larro, but Mrs. Ritter returned specifically for Franklin and Sylvia and was forced to stay in a hotel.

She was so angry that she almost smashed everything in the hotel room. She asked Donovan to find someone to help her smooth things over, but he failed miserably - typical of men who couldn't be relied on.

Today, not only did she have to pay fines and compensation at the police station, but she also lost face because of it all.

She glared angrily at the tweet posted by Larro on Twitter with her photo attached claiming that she led people in assaulting others, how much money was fined against her and how many days of education were required.

After paying up, Mrs. Ritter still could not leave Larro as they required her attendance for seven consecutive days for moral education classes at the police station - this made her even more furious! She wasn't three years old or an elementary school student! Why should they educate her like this? But since it's law enforcement unit policy, there's nothing else Mrs. Ritter can do except comply with their request.

She felt so aggrieved that she almost broke down completely. "Damn Sylvia! Damn Franklin! Why don't they just die!" She threw the pillow on top of bed onto ground fiercely, then stomped on it several times, as if venting out would make herself feel better.

It started raining early morning in Larro; drizzling raindrops fell continuously.

The paternity testing center is where Clare will receive his results today despite such bad weather conditions; he drove over early morning.

When he arrived there just after opening hours began, the nurse told him that results wouldn't be available until after 9 am.

Clare nervously sat down, waiting patiently, while his heart raced with anxiety.

He glanced frequently towards the window, feeling uneasy like cats scratching inside him.

This kind of waiting really made him uncomfortable.

He hoped for good news yet feared bad news.

The feeling made him restless as if itching powder has been sprinkled all over his body.

But he held back knowing. Results will be revealed very soon .

He took a deep breath and saw a man in a white coat holding a stack of files walking towards the window. He jumped out of his chair and rushed towards the window.

"Has the appraisal result that was sent here a few days ago come out?" he asked.

The man glanced at Clare and nodded, "Yes, what's your name?" Clare quickly reported his name, and then saw the man start searching. He handed over a stack to the previous female nurse, "You look for these, I'll look for those.” The two searched together and quickly found Clare's file.

"Sign in this column as received,” said the nurse as she handed him a form.

Clare held onto the pen with trembling fingers. He had finally gotten it - he had finally gotten his results...

He signed it and took over the folder with shaking hands. Three... two... one! He opened it quickly and flipped to the last page.

His eyes widened as he stared at that result; his mind went blank.

He turned around like crazy, grabbed hold of that white-coated man who was about to leave. "Did you make any mistakes with this result?" The man looked at him like he was crazy before explaining impatiently. "How could there be any mistake? We are Larro's most authoritative appraisal agency. We have no idea how many appraisals we receive every day; how could we specially make mistakes on yours?" A hint of sadness flashed across Clare's handsome face but he didn't say anything more; instead, he grabbed hold of his results again before leaving.

It wasn't until he got into his car that he sat in silence on driver's seat once again opening up those documents - still finding himself unable to believe what they said. ‘Not related by blood." How could they not be related by blood? His intuition told him otherwise but soon enough, Clare adjusted himself mentally before starting up engine - driving off from underground parking lot straight away like an arrow released from its bowstring! He went in and took the results. After taking them, he still looked calm as he examined them. After finishing, he started the car again. He spent the whole morning going to four appraisal centers in Larro.

After getting Sylvia's blood bag that day, he divided the remaining blood into four parts and sent each part to one of these four appraisal centers because he was afraid someone would tamper with the results and mislead him. As expected, there were problems with the appraisal results.

However, no one could have guessed that he had sent four samples for testing. So out of those four test results, only the first showed a non-relative relationship while all three others showed a maternal relationship within the same family line.

So... Sylvia and he were really relatives! His heart raced as he looked at those three identical test results; his nose felt sour and his eyes gradually turned red.

Maternal relationship... this meant that his sister... she was Sylvia's mother; she left behind a legacy for Hipps family by leaving behind Sylvia! At this moment, it seemed like Clare had turned into a three-year-old child who tightly held onto these test results while crying like a baby.

"Sister... sister, I'm sorry it took me so long to confirm." "Sister, it was my mistake before when | mistook Skyla for you." Clare's emotions were like riding on a roller coaster - full of ups and downs - extreme happiness followed by extreme sadness.

He composed himself after processing his own feelings before sitting down again.

He needed to find Sylvia; he must find her so that she could hear this good news from him personally.

He started up his car - silver sports car slowly merging into traffic, while gripping onto steering wheel slightly harder than usual, due to rain still falling from above, making roads slippery wet.

Just as Clare passed an intersection, suddenly several black cars appeared behind him, but didn't think too much about it, until another vehicle came speeding towards him head-on! Clare skillfully maneuvered his steering wheel sharply right just in time avoiding collision, but unfortunately causing other vehicle hit guardrail hard instead.

As he was about to stop the car and check on the other party, he saw two men emerge from the smoking car, each holding a steel pipe as thick as an arm.

Clare furrowed his brows and noticed one of the black cars that had been following him accelerating towards him.

If he still didn't understand what was going on by now, then he was too foolish.

These people were a group, and their target was him! Clare immediately stepped on the gas pedal hard and accelerated away. The black cars behind him followed like madmen.

Luckily, there were very few pedestrians or vehicles on this stretch of road. He kept a close eye on what was happening behind him through his rearview mirror while firmly gripping onto the steering wheel.

It was obvious that these people were in cahoots with whoever had bribed the doctor at the appraisal center. Could it be that they found out about his four appraisals and came to steal them? They didn't want him to recognize Sylvia! Worse yet, they wanted to kill him! To make it look like an accident! Danger loomed closer by the second. The black cars chased after Clare's car like mad dogs.

Clare stepped hard on the gas pedal again; his car made a humming sound as it sped forward like lightning. His vehicle had excellent performance capabilities; its speed exceeded 200 mph directly.

Although Clare usually drove gently without speeding much, it did not mean that he couldn't drive fast when necessary.

He was about to chase after them when there was a loud bang.

Three black cars behind him were speeding too fast and collided with each other in succession! The poor car was overturned and its tail end shattered.

However, soon enough! The leading black car caught up with her at lightning speed.
