Chapter 882 The two of them stepped into the restaurant, which was decorated in a traditional style and had a very quiet atmosphere. It was lunchtime, and there were many customers inside.

Sylvia and Franklin found a seat by the window. The waitress came over with menus right away. "What would you like to eat?" she asked.

Sylvia smiled, took the menu, ordered two dishes for herself, then handed it to Franklin. "You can choose what you want,” she said.

Franklin ordered two dishes plus soup. Sylvia noticed that he had ordered her favorite dishes as well. She couldn't help but feel touched deep down inside.

"That's all," Sylvia said with a smile as she handed the menu back to the waitress.

The pretty young waitress threw her an admiring look. "You're Miss Andrews, right? I'm your fan! I've seen you on Twitter." Although their family owned restaurants abroad now, they still kept tabs on things back home! She turned her gaze towards Franklin next. "And this must be Mr. Maskelyne? You two are such an attractive couple! Like something out of a fairytale - even more beautiful than your photos!" "Today's meal is 50% off; we'll also throw in a bottle of red wine for free." Suddenly there was a loud noise from one corner of the restaurant that made everyone jump up in surprise! Sylvia instinctively turned around only to see an elderly couple sitting at one table while standing before them were two young men who had caused all this commotion...

It was their voices that everyone heard just now! One blond man swept everything off their table onto the floor then grabbed one bowl intending to smash it against the old lady's face! Franklin narrowed his eyes sharply as he picked up fork from his own table throwing it at him quickly... Just as that bowl was about to hit its target causing bloodshed everywhere...

With a loud bang, the fork flew through space hitting that bowl squarely shattering it into pieces mid-air! Shards flew everywhere including some bits lodging themselves into his skin making him scream out painfully. "Who did this?! Who's playing tricks here?" Alot of soup splashed onto him too dirtying up his face quite badly...

He looked up and scanned the area, spotting a man with a cold expression sitting by the window. The man had sharp eyes that stared directly at him, and his tall and slender figure made it difficult to discern his features from the perspective of someone with blonde hair. However, his intense aura was impossible to ignore.

"You! Are you looking for trouble?" The blonde man shouted angrily at Franklin.

The man turned around with an unparalleled air of superiority on his face, glancing briefly at the blonde man and his chubby companion. "Bullying elderly people is not impressive." "We'll bully whoever we want! What's it to you?" The chubby man sneered as he violently swept away plates in front of two old men. The sound of shattering dishes echoed throughout the room.

As he was about to punch one of them in the nose, there was a loud bang! He flew like a round ball towards the wall before slowly sliding down onto the ground while screaming like a pig being slaughtered.

"You dare hit me!" Franklin stood tall with an icy demeanor that made him seem like he came straight from hell.

The sight terrified even the blonde guy but he still tried charging towards Franklin anyway. With one swift kick from Franklin's long legs, however, he stumbled backwards until hitting against a floor lamp which shattered into pieces upon impact.

Fortunately for him though, Chubby had gotten up just in time to catch him or else Blonde would have fallen onto those shards scattered all over floor.

They usually thought they were superior, so they couldn't tolerate such humiliation? "How dare you hit us? Do you know who we are?" One fat and one thin guy charged towards Franklin but were quickly beaten by him until they fled while shouting "You wait!" Despite all this commotion happening around them, both old men remained calm without showing any signs of panic whatsoever.

Sylvia raised an eyebrow and said to their pretty waitress. "We'll cover all damages here." It wasn't until then that the old man spoke slowly as he put down his utensils. "You drove away some hooligans; why would we ask for compensation?" With that said, he simply scanned Facebook's QR code before transferring 20 thousand dollars directly over to their waitress" account without batting an eye.

"Is that enough?" The waiter looked unfazed. "It's enough. They'll have enough for next time too." It seemed like the two elderly people had experienced this kind of thing before.

Sylvia and Franklin exchanged a look, feeling that things were not as simple as they appeared on the surface.

The waiter smiled, "This is the third time this month. They don't dare to do anything, they just threaten." The old lady picked up a tissue and elegantly wiped her lips. "Thank you both." But when she looked up and saw Sylvia, she clearly hesitated for a moment. What a beautiful young woman.

Why did she seem familiar? Was there something in her features that was recognizable? "This is my husband Giancarlo Morales, | am Jasmine Hipps," Jasmine introduced herself simply.

She was dignified and elegant despite being in her seventies or eighties; wisdom shone through her eyes which were marked by the passage of time.

Giancarlo was also an elegant old gentleman with no trace of vulgarity about him at all; it was clear that he must have been quite handsome when he was younger too.

Sylvia scrutinized them both carefully but couldn't help wondering if they were related to the Hipps family somehow - Old Mr.

Hipps' sister had been some sort of expert professor... Could it be such a coincidence? As she pondered this silently to herself, Franklin spoke respectfully to the two elderly people. "So you are Mr. And Mrs. Morales! You've lived abroad all these years haven't you? | heard you recently developed a hash function algorithm which led to designing Aettosa's proprietary hash function standard - it revolutionized our country's financial system stability and confidentiality along with other systems like power grids etc., earning international recognition just last week!" "How could you know about what we've researched without us having released any news yet?" Jasmine exclaimed in surprise after scrutinizing Franklin who exuded an air of nobility from head-to-toe making him appear like someone special even though she didn't recognize him at first glance. how could he know so much? "I'm Franklin," said Franklin with his lips curved into a smile. "I met both of you when | was young but perhaps neither one remembers me now." "Maskelyne family?" Giancarlo showed his kindly smile again. there weren't many children left from Maskelyne family anymore; which one are you?" "The one who got sent away," replied Franklin with another smile on his face too.

Sylvia narrowed her eyes, listening to the three of them talk as if they were playing charades.

"Wow, so many years have passed in a flash." Giancarlo patted his leg and stood up, taking another look at Jasmine. "Honey, we haven't been back for a long time. How about we go back and visit soon?" "They always want to take away the technology we have in our hands. It's better to go home where it's safe," Jasmine agreed with his decision. "My brother and sister-in-law will be very happy." "Okay, let's buy tickets now." Giancarlo smiled warmly. "Thank you both for today." Jasmine took out her phone and didn't play clumsily like other elderly people.

On the contrary, she seemed very good at electronic products as she showed off Facebook. "Come on, let's add each other on Facebook." Sylvia added Jasmine's Facebook account on her phone and also added Giancarlo's account.

Franklin saw this and also added both elderly people.

"When we go back to our country later on, let's make plans for dinner together! We are from Aettosa," Jasmine enthusiastically held Sylvia's hand while saying this. "These people want what we have in our hands." As she spoke, she took out a jade pendant shaped like a green leaf with gold embedded in the center of it from her pocket which was handed over to Sylvia, "There is fate between us two. I really like this jade pendant which has always been my personal belonging. Now | am giving it to you as a souvenir." Sylvia saw this simple yet elegant jade pendant shaped like a leaf with gold embedded in its center . It was not an ordinary piece of jade; its shape was carved perfectly emitting warm luster.

"This jade pendant is too valuable; | cannot accept it," Sylvia said hesitantly.

"What belongs to you is yours," Jasmine laughed before pushing the necklace into Sylvia's hand forcefully making her speechless.

Doesn't even an old lady exude an aura of dominance? Is she really that domineering? Giancarlo looked kind-hearted when he said, "If someone gives something, then just take it without hesitation because after all it is just one piece of jade which isn't worth much money anyway." After speaking these words, he held hands with his wife before leaving together.

After finishing their meal, Sylvia returned back along Franklin towards their hotel. As they passed through the lobby area, they spotted Elsa who had just walked out from inside elevator along with Darcie, a few flight attendants.

"Mr. Maskelyne, Mrs. Maskelyne." Elsa greeted them both smilingly while Darcie avoided eye contact without saying anything at all.

"Do you guys want to go out and have some fun?" Sylvia's lips curved into a smile, which was as beautiful as the moon in the sky.

"Yeah, let's go to the nearby mall," Elsa said as she pulled Darcie along. "Come on!" Darcie felt a pang of bitterness in her heart, her eyes filled with resentment and unwillingness.

Elsa couldn't help but roll her eyes. This girl was crushing on Mr. Maskelyne again.

Did she really think she could compare to Mrs. Maskelyne? The Hart family may have some power, but they were no match for the Evans family. So what if Darcie had some money?
